It is a bare-bones Linux distribution (often under 50MB) that contains only the necessary components to run checkra1n.
If successful, you will see "All Done" and your iPhone will boot with the checkra1n loader app installed.

The official checkra1n utility was originally built exclusively for macOS and Linux. Windows users were left unable to run it due to the complex ways the Windows operating system handles lower-level USB controller protocols during an Apple device's Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode.
If you have a newer iOS version (15+) and an A7–A11 device, is the tool you should investigate. For iOS 12–14, checkn1x remains an excellent, stable choice.
The "amd64" tag ensures it works on almost all modern 64-bit Intel and AMD processors.
