Before you can enjoy a map view of your trip, you first need a trip to view. The most seamless way to build your itinerary is by forwarding all your travel confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com . Once you send an email, TripIt's system automatically parses the information and adds the flight, hotel, or car rental to your master itinerary. You can also authorize TripIt to sync directly with your Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo inbox to pull these confirmations automatically.

3. Navigating Between Your Plans with the TripIt "Navigator"
Navigate to your Trip. Look for the Map icon at the top of the screen (or within the "More" menu). This provides a birds-eye view of your entire journey, from departure to destination.
You want to see it. You want to visualize your hotel in relation to the conference center. You want to know if that reservation at the French bistro is a 5-minute walk or a $40 cab ride from your AirBnB. You want to add a map to your trip .

Once you are in the map view, you can tap any pin to see the associated plan details at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can swipe through a carousel of all your plans to see exactly where each one is located relative to the others.
