Understanding the structure, spiritual significance, and traditional Arabic text of the Khutba Sania is essential for Imams, students of knowledge, and everyday Muslims seeking a deeper connection to Friday worship. The Structure and Significance of the Second Sermon

Allahummaghfir lil-mu'mineena wal-mu'minaat wal-muslimeena wal-muslimaata al-ahya'i minhum wal-amwaat. "O Allah, forgive the believing men and believing women, the Muslim men and Muslim women, those who are alive among them and those who have passed away."

Exhorting the congregation to fear Allah and remain conscious of their religious duties.

Supplications for the forgiveness of the congregation, the unity of Muslims, and safety from trials.

❌ “It’s just ritual repetition, so I can zone out.” ✅ Reality: Every word of Khutba Sania is a dua. Saying “Ameen” silently during it is an act of worship. Stay focused.

(Then the Imam sits down briefly for the prayer to begin)

The congregation should face the Khateeb and listen with an open heart.

If you’ve ever attended Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers at a mosque, you’ve witnessed a unique rhythm. The Khatib (speaker) delivers two distinct sermons, separated by a brief silence or sitting. The first is called Khutba Ula . The second is known as (الثانية خطبة).
