The interest in the Alpha was much larger than Jolla’s capacity to handle. The company had to limit testing and postpone many users to an intended Beta phase in August 2014. This likely strained the resources of the small team, which was already focused on launching actual Sailfish OS devices.

Instead of tapping a specific button at the top or bottom of the screen to access settings or options, Sailfish uses a Pulley Menu. You simply drag the screen down, and a menu scrolls into view from the top. You release your finger when the desired option is highlighted.
